It’s a famous saying that “remaining quiet is an Aalim’s zenaah/zinaat (beauty/adornment) and an ignorant’s cover.”

An intelligent person once said that there are 7000 benefits in remaining quiet, which can be summed up in seven lines and each line contains 1000 benefits.

The first one is that remaining quiet is a form of Ibadaah without any hard work

The second one is that it’s decoration without ornaments

The third one is that it’s power without kingdom

The fourth one is that it’s a castle without walls

The fifth one is that there is no need to apologize to anyone when you remain quiet

The sixth one is that it makes things easier for Kiraman Katibeen (the two angels who take note of our deeds)

And the seventh one is that it covers one’s faults.

Recognising a Jahil(an ignorant person)

It is said that there are six things from which a Jahil can be recognised.

1. His anger, meaning he gets angry on everything he doesn’t like whether it’s because of a human being or an animal.

2. Useless talks, an intelligent person does not say anything unbeneficial instead he always says beneficial things whether they are for the benefit of this world or for the hereafter.

3. Wastes money on useless things, meaning this is also a sign of Jahalaat that you spend money on something from which you cannot gain any reward or benefit.

6. Not recognises his friend and enemies, meaning that a person should recognise his friend and stay with them and recognise his enemies and stay away from them, and the enemy of human beings has always been shaitan thus a person should never follow him.
